Pulled the Trigger: Urban Sketchers Jacksonville!
I have been thinking about this day since even before arriving, leaving Columbus and that great group of folks. Going through the list of chapters on the Urban Sketchers main page did reveal a Jacksonville location, would I be able to go step forward and get one started? The answer is, a resounding yes, especially after seeing the news piece about Urban Sketching.
Like many others, I've been "urban sketching" for awhile, just sketching where ever. As a global organization they endeavor to "See the world, one drawing at a time." The sketches are not limited to pen and ink, any medium you use to examine/portray your corner of the world is accepted and celebrated. Another important component is the ability (and willingness) to share you work online, so sketchers from all over the world can see your story.
