Weekend Update, August 11-13
The start of a busy week and I'm showing you what I created this past weekend. Let's dive into Friday!
Got an early start sketching while having lunch. Which was good, because I didn't do my usual beginning of work sketch.
Lunchtime, and I heard the fella in the hat ask what movie the other guy was watching. It's not all eating and talking at lunch.
Saturday was busy, but I made a stop at the coffee shop for some sketching. The two above were very animated, which affected my depiction of him a bit more than her.
The place was jumping, as people packed into the back to watch a jazz trumpet player (Byron Stripling) perform. I used a grey Faber Castell to indicate a window to a darkened room. Next I tried to capture the line of folks waiting to get their coffee.
Sunday while having dinner I sketched this fellow chatting away across the room.
In addition, I completed another watercolor plein air painting. I can only show a piece to you all, but I am very happy with it.
Sorry for how later this is going out, it has been super busy at work. See ya later!
