Urban Landscapes: Chicago part 1

This past weekend, my family and I visited Chicago and took lots of pictures. I didn't paint while I was there, now that the dust has settled I am working from the photos.

This first layer is all washes, using a number 10 round.

I started with a basic pencil sketch, as a quick guide to where everything is.

This is where I left off today, making sure to get at least a bit done each day. When I get a break at work, I've been getting the pencils straight on the next one. Fingers crossed!
